About this mission
El Rancho Lobitos is an equine therapy center based in Lobitos, Peru, dedicated to children and adults with disabilities. By joining this mission, you take part in equine therapy sessions, kids days with local children, horse care, and hands-on construction and maintenance projects at the ranch. All your contributions directly support a safe and accessible healing space for the local community of Lobitos, Talara, and Piura.
Destination highlights
A fishing village nestled between desert and ocean in northern Peru, Lobitos is home to some of the best waves in South America. Long, peeling point breaks that stretch as far as the eye can see. Far from mass tourism, the village has kept its soul: dirt roads, golden light, a life that follows the rhythm of the tides. But Lobitos is also a community in motion. Local initiatives work to ensure that surfing truly benefits its inhabitants: ocean access for local youth, coastline preservation, responsible tourism. With Waves & Love, every session here contributes to that transformation.
